Jon Huberth is a producer and director of film and video with a strong background and training in the theater. An honors graduate from Amherst College, he holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama where he was the John Shubert Memorial Scholar in Directing. He has been an Assistant Professor of Drama at Manhattanville College; a director of master classes at the National Shakespeare Conservatory; and has directed scores of plays from off-Broadway to many regional theaters including Manhattan Theatre Club and Williamstown Summer Theatre Festival and just recently the hit A Jew Grows in Brooklyn that ran off-Broadway for over a year.
Jon has produced and directed dozens of instructional, promotional, and fund-raising films and videos in such areas as recruitment, health and science, ecology, criminal justice, and behavioral psychology. His clients include Dartmouth, Kenyon, Amherst, Swarthmore and Franklin Pierce College, Princeton University, the College of Wooster, Randolph Macon Woman’s College, SUNY’s FIT, Southern Connecticut State University, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, The Nature Conservancy, Scott Paper Company, New York University School of Law and the New York City Police Department.
Jon has written for the Children’s Television Workshop show Sesame Street and worked with such celebrities as Bess Armstrong, Stephen Collins, Ken Howard, Linda Hunt, James Earl Jones, Richard Masur, Rob Morrow, James Naughton, Meryl Streep, Sam Waterston and Henry Winkler.
